The Minister of Youth and Sports, Osman Aşkın Bak, announced that applications for scholarships and student loans for the 2025-2026 academic year have begun.
Applications for scholarships and student loans, which thousands of students have been waiting for, have started.
Minister Bak stated in a post on his social media account, "Dear young people; GSB scholarship and student loan applications have officially started. You can submit your applications through the e-Government system until October 17 at 23:59."
According to the statement from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, students who are eligible to enter a higher education program for the first time in the 2025-2026 academic year, currently enrolled students in intermediate classes of a higher education program, and Turkish citizens studying abroad can apply for scholarships/loans.
Scholarship/loan applications will be accepted through e-Government until 23:59 on Friday, October 17. Students who wish to change their application information can update their information through e-Government until this date.
PAY ATTENTION TO THESE DETAILS IN THE APPLICATION
Since scholarship/loan applications will be based on the education information available in e-Government, students need to check their school/department information in e-Government; students with incorrect information should contact the university's student affairs to request corrections.
The information regarding the economic, social, and academic status declared by students during the application will be verified by the Ministry of Youth and Sports through public institutions. As a result of the evaluation, scholarships or student loans will be allocated to students who meet the regulations. Applications made by students who provide false information will be considered invalid.
STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
Students declaring special circumstances in their applications do not need to send any documents.
Students declaring special circumstances [children of martyrs/disabled veterans (if the martyr is single, the single sibling; if the veteran is single, themselves), those whose both parents have passed away, those with a disability of 40% or more certified by a health board report from a fully equipped state hospital, those who completed their high school and equivalent education in care homes under the Ministry of Family and Social Services, graduates of Darüşşafaka High School, and national athletes, etc.] will have their information verified by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
