The transfer of Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi from Galatasaray to the established Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt took place in the final moments. The transfer process concluded with the documents being uploaded to FIFA's Transfer Management System at exactly 19:59:43. If there had been a delay of just 17 more seconds, the transfer would not have gone through.
The interesting truth behind Michy Batshuayi's departure from the Super League giant Galatasaray to sign with the established Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt has emerged.
LAST-MINUTE AGREEMENT
Galatasaray Management initially demanded 8 million euros for their player at the beginning of the negotiations. They were not receptive to the offers made by Frankfurt. In fact, on Monday afternoon, Frankfurt officials closed the process by stating, "This deal won't happen." However, after the transfer of Morata, the yellow-reds changed the conditions to sell Batshuayi. The offer dropped to 3 million euros. The process, which resumed around 4:00 PM, was completed within 4 hours.
17 SECONDS CHANGED HIS FATE
Frankfurt managed to upload the documents to FIFA's Transfer Management System (TMS) at exactly 19:59:43. If they had been just 17 seconds later, the transfer would not have occurred. The Belgian star signed a contract with the Bundesliga team until 2027.
