As the forest fire that broke out in the Fethiye district of Muğla advanced toward houses, footage taken by a citizen revealed the scale of the disaster. In the images, the citizen can be heard saying, 'It's gotten very high, it's gotten very high.'
A fire broke out in a forested area near Karagedik District in the Fethiye district of Muğla at around 7:30 PM. Citizens who saw the smoke in the area close to the city center reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the notification, numerous fire departments and forestry teams were dispatched to the region.
FIRE RESPONSE CONTINUES
Due to the strong wind in the area, the flames spread over a wide area, and intervention continues from both air and land to bring the fire under control.
