In the opening match of the 2026-2027 season in the English Premier League, reigning champions Arsenal began their campaign with a 3-point haul, defeating Coventry City, who returned to the Premier League after 25 years, 3-0 at home.
Arsenal started the match effectively at the Emirates Stadium and took the lead in the 15th minute with a goal from Kai Havertz. The London club doubled their lead in the 23rd minute when Bukayo Saka found the back of the net, and they went into the break with a 2-0 advantage.
ODEGAARD CLOSED THE SHOW
