The Bitlis Governorship has imposed a two-day ban on demonstrations and gatherings in order to prevent potential incidents that may occur throughout the city. In a statement made by the governorship, it was noted that such a decision was taken to ensure the safety of the public and property, as well as to maintain public order.



The Bitlis Governorship has decided to ban demonstrations, marches, actions, events, and meetings in the city for a period of 2 days. In a statement from the governorship, it was stated that "Except for those deemed appropriate by the Governorship and District Governorship within the geographical boundaries of Bitlis, the activities of organizing demonstrations, marches, open-air and indoor meetings are prohibited for a period of 2 days from November 30 at 11:00 to December 1 at 23:59, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911. Activities such as press statements, sit-ins, setting up tents and stands, organizing signature campaigns, distributing leaflets, and any form of protest actions are also prohibited under the relevant provisions of the Provincial Administration Law."

It was stated in the announcement that "The aim is to prevent participation in illegal actions mentioned in organizational calls using the Bitlis route individually or collectively from districts or surrounding provinces. It was also stated that "The entry of individuals and groups likely to participate in illegal actions and events into our province and districts, as well as their exit from these places individually or collectively, is also prohibited during the same dates and times in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442."
