In the accident that occurred yesterday in Karaman, Selime Balcı (26), who was injured when the car driven by the driver could not take the turn and lost control, could not be saved at the hospital where she was taken. While the vital danger of the driver Alperen Hisar (20) continues, it was determined that there was no one else in the vehicle through the search operation in the region.

ACCIDENT WAS RECORDED WITH A CELL PHONE

The accident occurred yesterday around 16:30 on the Yumru Tepesi road in the Ermenek district. The car with the license plate number 80 GU 150, driven by Alperen Hisar, rolled down a cliff of about 500 meters while entering the curve fast. The accident was recorded with a cell phone by the people around.

THEY WERE THROWN OUT OF THE VEHICLE

Police, health, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of the people around. The teams found the injured driver Alperen Hisar and Selime Balcı, who were thrown out of the vehicle, about 100 meters away from the initial point where the vehicle rolled down the cliff. Due to the steep and wooded terrain, the injured were carried for about 40 minutes and then transported to the Ermenek State Hospital. Selime Balcı lost her life despite the intervention of the doctors at Konya City Hospital where she was transferred. The life-threatening condition of the driver Hisar continues to persist.

WAS THERE A THIRD PERSON?

After the accident, a search operation was initiated on the suspicion that there was a third person in the vehicle. No trace of the third person was found in the drone operations. It was found through the investigation that there was no one else in the vehicle. It was learned that the driver Alperen Hisar and his friend Selime Balcı lived in Silifke district of Mersin and came to Ermenek for sightseeing.
