A 12-meter boat drifting due to engine failure off the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge in the Dardanelles was rescued thanks to the timely intervention of the Coast Safety teams. The boat, towed along with the 2 people on board, was safely docked at the Sütlüce location.

ENGINE FAILURE OFF THE BRIDGE
An engine failure occurred for an undetermined reason on the 12-meter-long boat that was sailing near the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge. After the malfunction, the boat went out of control and began to drift in the strait's current.
THEY REQUESTED HELP BY PHONE
The 2 people stranded on the boat called the authorities by phone to request help after the situation went out of control. Evaluating the report, the General Directorate of Coastal Safety dispatched the 'KIYEM-9' rapid rescue boat to the area.
TOWED TO THE SÜTLÜCE LOCATION
The Coastal Safety teams, who arrived at the scene in a short time, towed the boat with 2 people on board using a rope. As a result of the teams' successful work, the faulty boat was safely docked at the Sütlüce location.
