The body of Mehmet Ali Erkek, a father of two who had been missing since May 6 in Konya, was found on the 7th day in the Mavi Boğaz Canyon.
The body of Mehmet Ali Erkek (39), a father of two who was reported missing, was found in the water in the Blue Boğaz Canyon on the 7th day. Mehmet Ali Erkek, who had been unaccounted for since May 6, was found when his car was located near a bridge in the Blue Boğaz Canyon between Akören and Bozkır districts. Inside the car, Erkek's jacket, wallet, and mobile phone were discovered. Following this, efforts were concentrated in this area.
CAUSE OF DEATH WILL BE CLARIFIED BY THE AUTOPSY
Teams conducting search operations in the 30-kilometer canyon along the Çarşamba Stream reached Erkek's body on the 7th day of the effort. The body of Mehmet Ali Erkek, recovered from the water by maritime police, was taken to the Konya Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy.
The cause of Erkek's death will be determined following the autopsy.
