Cemil Öter's brother Özcan Öter and Merve Akpınar, the leaders of the Jirki tribe in the Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak, got married with a wedding that lasted for 2 days and 2 nights. In the wedding, which was attended by approximately 5 thousand guests, the bride was given 2 kilograms of gold and the groom was given 2 million 750 thousand lira.
In the district of Beytüşşebap in Şırnak, Cemil Öter, one of the leaders of the Jirki tribe, married his 27-year-old brother Özcan Öter and 23-year-old Merve Akpınar in a wedding that lasted for 2 days and 2 nights.
At the wedding where 350 kilograms of meat dish was prepared and served, guests in traditional costumes danced halay (a traditional Turkish dance) accompanied by Turkish and Kurdish songs and fireworks. The long chain of halay dancers was also captured from the air.

The bride received 2 kilograms of gold and the groom received 2 million 750 thousand Turkish liras as gifts. The wedding was attended by local officials, representatives of political parties, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and leaders of other tribes in the region.

Cemil Öter, also known as "Cemil Ağa", one of the leaders of the Jirki tribe, commented on the large crowd at the wedding, saying, "The spirit of unity and solidarity, which is present at both weddings and funerals, is a culture that comes from the past. It is not a gathering place for any political ideology. I cannot count the number of congratulatory messages from those who couldn't attend. I would like to thank everyone who accompanied us today."
Mehmet Salih Öter, another brother of the groom, said, "Our wedding went very well. We would like to thank all our relatives, tribe members, and guests who attended." Fevzi Öter, the nephew of the groom, said, "We would like to thank all our friends and relatives who sent their good wishes and gifts. The couple received 2 million 750 thousand Turkish liras and 2 kilograms of gold."
