HIT WHILE CROSSING THE ROAD
The accident occurred around 02:00 on Hasim Iskan Street in the Osmangazi district. A car with license plate 16 MED 50, driven by M.D., struck the unlicensed ATV driven by Hasan Tozaykurt as he was attempting to cross the road at a pedestrian crossing.
ATV DRIVER HURLED METERS DIES
Tozaykurt was injured after being flung several meters in the accident. Upon reports from bystanders, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After initial medical intervention, Tozaykurt was taken by ambulance to a nearby private hospital, where he could not be saved despite all efforts by doctors.

Meanwhile, the accident was captured on a workplace's security camera. The footage shows the car hitting the ATV attempting to cross the road, and the ATV driver Tozaykurt being hurled several meters and falling onto the road.
The investigation into the accident, in which police teams detained the car driver M.D., is ongoing.
