In the incident that occurred around 09:00 in the Çağlayan neighborhood of Manavgat district, Tevfik Güven, one of the former mayors of Oymapınar, arrived at the Çağlayan Mosque with his vehicle bearing the license plate 07 LJN 91. After parking his car and leaving the ignition on, Güven began to talk with the mosque's imam, when he suddenly noticed that his vehicle, which was about 10-15 meters away, had moved and was driving away. Tevfik Güven, who called the 112 Emergency Call Center to report the situation, prompted the teams from the Manavgat District Police Department to come to the scene and examine the security cameras.

The teams examining the surrounding security cameras determined that the vehicle had been stolen by a woman and was heading towards Sarılar. As a result of the work of the Public Order Bureau teams, the car was found parked on 1123 Street in Sarılar neighborhood in the evening hours. The woman identified as D. Y., who was found to have numerous criminal records and was under the influence of substances, was caught walking on foot about 400 meters away from the vehicle. "EVERYONE SHOULD LOCK THEIR CAR EVEN IF IT'S JUST GOING 5 METERS"
Tevfik Güven, the former mayor who received his stolen vehicle, said, "I had an appointment with the imam of the Çağlayan Mosque to go to Akseki. I arrived in front of the mosque with my car around 09:00. Imam Hüseyin said he had a job for 10 minutes and that we could leave as soon as he was done. While waiting for Hüseyin, I turned around and saw that my car was no longer there. I immediately called the police. When the police arrived at the scene and watched the surrounding security camera footage, they said that the woman who took the car was someone they knew. They immediately started working to find my vehicle. They just told me they found my car, and I came to retrieve it. Everyone should lock their car even if it's just going 5 meters; it was a good lesson," he said.
