In Afyonkarahisar, one person lost their life as a result of a collision between a car and a truck. The driver of the car, who was trapped in the vehicle that was crushed like paper, was rescued after a long effort and taken to the hospital.
A terrible accident occurred near the village of Hamidiye in the Bolvadin district of Afyonkarahisar. According to the information obtained, B.Ö., driving the truck with license plate 26 EH 405, collided with the car driven by M.K. with license plate 03 BT 154 for an undetermined reason.
1 PERSON DIED, 1 PERSON INJURED
In the accident, the car, which was crushed like paper, trapped the driver and E.K., who was with him, inside the vehicle. After the incident, gendarmerie, health, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area upon notification from the bystanders. The fire brigade teams that arrived at the scene determined that E.K. had died at the scene, while the injured driver M.K. was rescued from the wreckage after approximately 20 minutes of intervention. Due to the accident, traffic on the highway was controlled for a while, and the overturned truck was lifted from its position with the help of a crane. It was reported that an investigation was initiated by the prosecutor's office following the accident.
