In the Ulukışla district of Niğde, 75-year-old Hasan Çoşkun, the driver of a car that collided with a truck, and his 70-year-old wife Hamiyet Çoşkun lost their lives. The truck driver was taken into custody while an investigation into the accident has been initiated.
A horrific accident occurred last night in the Tepeköy area of the D-750 highway in the Ulukışla district of Niğde.
ELDERLY COUPLE LOSES THEIR LIVES
According to allegations, a truck with license plate 42 GP 714 driven by İbrahim Y. collided head-on with a car with license plate 46 LV 354 driven by Hasan Çoşkun (75). Upon reports from bystanders, health, fire, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area.
Teams determined that Hasan Çoşkun and his wife Hamiyet Çoşkun (70) in the car had lost their lives. The lifeless bodies of the Çoşkun couple were taken to the morgue for an autopsy.
TRUCK DRIVER IN CUSTODY
İbrahim Y., the driver of the truck, was taken into custody. An investigation into the accident has been launched.
