The moment of the tragic accident in which four university students lost their lives after returning from a night out in Colchester, England, was captured by a security camera. The vehicle, which can be seen crashing into a wall and being destroyed in seconds, had sped past the shops just before the accident.

Images have emerged from before the horrific accident that occurred in Colchester, England, which claimed the lives of four university students. The vehicle carrying the students, who were returning from a night out, crashed into a wall just seconds after speeding past shops.

In the footage captured by a security camera, the black Ford Focus is seen moving much faster compared to oncoming vehicles. Just seconds after the images recorded in the early hours of Saturday morning, the car crashed into a building 300 meters ahead, shattering into pieces.

The victims of the accident have been identified as 22-year-old Makyle Bayley, 21-year-old Eva Darold-Tchikaya, 24-year-old Anthony Junior 'TJ' Hibbert, and 22-year-old Daljang 'DJ' Wol, all students at the University of Essex. The students were involved in the accident on Magdalen Street while returning home after a night of entertainment in the city center.

The owner of Cut & Coffee barber shop, Mdhafar Abed (42), who recorded the footage, said, "This is a tragedy; they were all young and in the prime of their lives. The vehicle was going very fast and was in the middle of the road. It was moving much faster than other vehicles. The accident site was only 300-400 meters from the shop. At that speed, they probably hit something and lost control."

Essex Police Temporary Deputy Chief Constable Stuart Hooper stated, "I extend my condolences to the friends and families of Makyle, Eva, Anthony, and Daljang. This will be an incredibly difficult time for them, and our specialist officers are providing support."

The accident occurred at 04:40 on Saturday morning. The vehicle entered the wrong lane and mounted the pavement before crashing into the brick steps in front of a house. The impact was so severe that police initially could not even identify the make of the vehicle.
