An incredible incident occurred at a market located in the Sırakapılar neighborhood of the Merkezefendi district in Denizli. A 67-year-old retired teacher, Şevket Kaya, bought tangerines from the market. The next day, he wanted to return the product because the tangerines he tasted at home were different and dry. When the elderly man explained the situation to the cashier, he received a negative response. Upon this, Kaya wanted to speak with the market manager, but when he couldn't find anyone, he went to the responsible cashier in the storage area.
THE ELDERLY MAN WAS LOCKED IN THE STORAGE AND BITTEN ON THE HAND
A dispute broke out between the elderly man and the responsible cashier in the storage. According to allegations, the cashier woman attacked the elderly man, scratching his face and chest. The woman, who bit Şevket Kaya's hand and caused it to bleed, locked the elderly man in the market's storage. Police teams who arrived at the scene upon notification detained Kaya. The cashier woman claimed that the elderly man had harassed her. It was learned that legal proceedings had been initiated regarding the incident, with both parties filing complaints against each other.
"I WAS BEATEN AND FOUND MYSELF IN A GUILTY POSITION"
Describing the terrifying moments he experienced, Şevket Kaya said, "I bought tangerines from the market. When I got home and looked at them, I realized they were dry and had lost their quality. On Sunday, I returned to the market around 10:00 AM to return them. They had placed the tangerines I bought the previous day in the discount section. When I said I wanted to return them, the cashier girl said she couldn't take them back. I wanted to speak with the market manager, but no one was interested. So, I went to the storage area. A girl who said, 'I am the manager here,' attacked me. She hit me several times. I have heart and blood pressure issues, so I couldn't handle it. She knocked me to the ground, bit my hand, and scratched my face. They locked the door on me and went outside to call the police. The police came, and I found myself in a guilty position. I was accused of sexual harassment, and I was shocked. I was being beaten, and she was holding my hands; how could I harass anyone? I was beaten and found myself in a guilty position," he said.
