The CHP administration withdrew its appeal in the "absolute nullity" case. If the new party leader, Özgür Özel, also withdraws the appeal, the decision will become final.

The Republican People's Party (CHP) administration has withdrawn its appeal in the "absolute nullity" case. If the new Party Chairman, Ozgur Ozel, also withdraws his application, the decision will become final.

KILICDAROGLU ADMINISTRATION WITHDREW THE APPEAL

The appeal made to the Court of Cassation following the 'absolute nullity' decision regarding the 38th Ordinary Congress of the Republican People's Party (CHP) was withdrawn by the Kemal Kilicdaroglu administration.

Following this, the new Party Chairman Ozgur Ozel, who was the CHP Group Deputy Chairman at the time, and his team appealed to the Court of Cassation again. The Court of Cassation had accepted the application made on behalf of Ozgur Ozel.

The Republican People's Party (CHP), under the administration of Kemal Kilicdaroglu, has once again withdrawn its appeal in the "absolute nullity" case.

It became a matter of curiosity whether Ozgur Ozel would withdraw his application.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Administrative Court had announced its decision in the cases filed for the annulment of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress held on 4-5 November 2023.

The Chamber overturned the decision of the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance, which had left a significant portion of the cases inconclusive on the grounds that they were "moot", and ruled for the annulment of the congress due to "absolute nullity", meaning definitive invalidity from the beginning.
