Turkey continues to increase its global footprint in the field of armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). As many countries from Asia to Africa purchase UAVs from Turkey, a new country has joined the queue. It has been reported that Uzbekistan has signed a contract for the purchase of UAVs.
Turkey stands out as one of the few countries in the world in the field of UAV production. Especially with the onset of the Turkish UAV craze starting with the Bayraktar TB2, it has solidified its position as a force multiplier that world armies wish to incorporate into their inventories with the AKINCI, ANKA, AKSUNGUR, KIZILELMA, and ANKA 3. These aerial vehicles are being produced with increasingly higher domestic production rates by Turkish defense industry companies every day.
THERE IS DEMAND FROM UZBEKISTAN
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) has signed a contract with Uzbekistan for the export of ANKA UAVs. Under the contract, deliveries are planned to begin in the near future. Thus far, TUSAŞ has exported ANKA to 7 countries and AKSUNGUR to 4 countries.
Among the countries that prefer ANKA are Algeria, Kazakhstan, Tunisia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Chad. On the other hand, in Turkey, the Turkish Armed Forces, the General Command of Gendarmerie, and some special units actively use ANKA and AKSUNGUR.
