It was claimed that Istanbul Deputy Ersin Beyaz, who resigned from the İYİ Party, will join the AK Party. In the backstage rumors, it was alleged that the Beyaz Construction company, which Beyaz reportedly co-owned for 30 years, was mentioned in the indictment of Ekrem İmamoğlu's case.

A resignation earthquake struck the İYİ Party. Ersin Beyaz, the party's founding provincial chair for Istanbul and a member of parliament for Istanbul, announced his resignation from the party.

"HIS NAME APPEARS IN THE IMMAMOGLU CASE INDICTMENT"

A striking claim emerged after the resignation decision. It was alleged that Ersin Beyaz would join the AK Party ranks.

Meanwhile, it was claimed that the construction company Beyaz İnşaat, with which Ersin Beyaz is said to have had a 30-year partnership, was named in the indictment of Ekrem İmamoğlu's case.

Meanwhile, Beyaz stated in his resignation statement: "To the esteemed Turkish public, my İYİ Party period in my political life, where I took on all material and moral responsibility as the founding Istanbul provincial chair on November 1, 2017, will always remain a valuable memory for me with the effort, sincerity, and will we put forth.

"THE WAVE OF HOPE THAT THE İYİ PARTY CARRIED AT ITS FOUNDATION COULD NOT ACHIEVE THE EXPECTED IMPACT"

I have strived to engage in politics with an understanding that does not disrespect its past, struggle, and the values it believes in. I will continue to engage in politics with the same respect for our esteemed nation from now on. At the point reached today, it is clear that politics in Turkey is moving along an increasingly sharp axis of polarization. In this picture, political structures that act with the search for balance between different political lines have a narrowing opportunity for expansion, and their capacity to generate social response is also limited.

I regretfully observe that the strong claim and wave of hope that the İYİ Party carried at its foundation could not achieve the expected impact.

My thoughts, experiences, and lessons show that; this effort, carried out with a sense of responsibility towards our nation, has been thwarted by the tacit alliance of approaches lacking a will for growth, and instead of a vision that would activate the dynamism of the organization, a passive continuity has been preferred to be reinforced. Moreover, this stagnation, contrary to the expectations of the organization, has been institutionalized with central support.

"I HAVE RESIGNED FROM İYİ PARTY MEMBERSHIP"

Our public sees that there is a noticeable gap between our expectations for political breakthrough and the current approach, and that priority is given to maintaining the existing political understanding rather than a new vision that would respond to changing social and political needs.

In the face of this picture; observing that the gap between the values we represent and the current functioning is widening day by day has created a deep contradiction between my political responsibility and my personal conviction. This incompatibility between the principles we believe in and the factual reality has made it impossible for me to continue my political activities under the roof of the İYİ Party. In this context; I respectfully submit to the knowledge of our esteemed nation and the public that I have resigned from my İYİ Party membership."
