Former Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu strongly reacted to claims that he expects to take a position in the AK Party's Central Executive Board (MYK) at the congress scheduled for February 23. He harshly criticized the journalist who brought up the allegation, stating, "Those who spread lies in their writings used to be called gossipers and placed in the 'disreputable' category. Now they are being given columns."
AK Party Istanbul Deputy Süleyman Soylu responded to claims that he was expecting to take a role in the MYK at the AK Party congress through a post on his social media account.

Soylu stated that the expressions in the news report claiming "Soylu is tired of the ineffective commission chairmanship and wants to take a role in the party or MKYK" do not reflect the truth.

Soylu harshly criticized the journalist who brought the claim to the agenda, saying, "The 'courier' who has exceeded the limits in writing speculation that even artificial intelligence wouldn't think of has once again dramatized a reading of intent about me. Those who used to call those who lied in everything they wrote 'gossips' and put them in the 'disreputable' class are now giving them column writing jobs," he stated.
