CHP Chairman Gül Çiftçi denied the claim that the Supreme Election Council annulled the CHP's decision for an extraordinary congress. In his statement, Çiftçi said, "The news regarding the annulment of our application for an extraordinary congress by the Supreme Election Council does not reflect the truth."

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel announced that they will go to an Extraordinary Congress on April 6, claiming that a trustee will be appointed to the party.
