In Afyonkarahisar, the private clinic where Mehmet Gündoğan sought treatment for his flu symptoms has had its operations suspended following an investigation initiated after it was determined that he died as a result of the 'yellow serum' he was given.
It was stated that the activities of the relevant clinic were halted after a person in Afyonkarahisar fell ill and died after being given 'yellow serum' at a private clinic.
HE COULDN'T BREATHE NEAR THE END OF THE YELLOW SERUM
Mehmet Gündoğan (38), a father of two preparing for a pilgrimage, visited the clinic with flu complaints. Here, Gündoğan was given yellow serum without any tests being conducted. However, Gündoğan reported that he had difficulty breathing as the serum was nearing its end and fell ill.
DIED IN 20 HOURS
Afterwards, Gündoğan was taken to Afyonkarahisar State Hospital by ambulance that arrived following a notification. After intervention, he was placed in intensive care. However, Gündoğan passed away after 20 hours in intensive care.
PRIVATE CLINIC CLOSED
It was announced that the investigation initiated after the incident is ongoing. In a statement from the Afyonkarahisar Governorship, it was said, "The activities of the Private Clinic owned by S.E. operating in the Selçuklu Neighborhood of the city center have been halted by the decision of the Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Health, Afyonkarahisar Governorship, and Provincial Health Directorate are still conducting necessary investigations regarding the clinic and the physician related to the death of Mehmet Gündoğan."
