After this result, Mardin 1969 President Rıdvan Aşar claimed in a video he published after the Orduspor 1967 match that he was offered a bribe by intermediaries.

PRESIDENT AŞAR WILL FILE A COMPLAINT WITH TFF PRESIDENT HACIOSMANOĞLU

President Aşar stated that decisions were made against his team by the referee during the match and announced that he would go to file a complaint with Turkey Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu on Monday, December 16.

President Aşar, who claimed that match-fixing occurred in the video he shared, made the following statements;

"From the first 45 minutes of the match, the unjust and treacherous decisions made by the referee have been watched by all of Turkey. I will get to the main point, for the past 3 days, a friend named Erkan Ergün has been calling us. He personally tried to reach me, and I responded to him. I was curious about what he wanted.

He told me; 'There is no money in Ordu. Give us money. We will give you this match. We will finish this match with the referee together. This referee is our brother,' he said. We also thought about pulling the team off the field during halftime, but we went out so we wouldn't lose our 3 points. We had not considered such a thing before the match. I also conveyed this to TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu during halftime. What we feared has happened. We will hold accountable for this. Let the accounts of the person named Erkan Ergün be checked."
