The coach who hasn't managed a team for 5 years is taking over Beşiktaş.

While the search for a head coach continues at the Super League giant Beşiktaş, it has emerged that the new president Serdal Adalı has reached an agreement with Mehmet Özdilek.

After Serdal Adalı won the election, all eyes were on the name that would take over the Black and Whites. It was reported that Adalı, who held some meetings, ultimately decided on Mehmet Özdilek. It is planned for Mehmet Özdilek to be part of the football structure to manage the football team together with Serdar Topraktepe until the end of the season.

ADALI IS NOT WARM TO FOREIGN COACHES

President Serdal Adalı is not warm to foreign coaches, and positive results were not obtained from the preliminary meetings held. Instead of names like İbrahim Üzülmez and Tayfun Korkut, it is preferred that Serdar Topraktepe remains. Last season, Mehmet Özdilek emerged as the name to whom Serdal Adalı would entrust the football in the competition with Hasan Arat.

Due to Topraktepe not having a Pro License, he is currently working with Halim Okta. It is stated that Adalı is considering Özdilek for this reason. Özdilek last served as a head coach at Erzurumspor in 2020. Throughout his career, Mehmet Özdilek has coached many teams.
