President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who attended the summit held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, presented the commemorative coin prepared specifically for the summit to the heads of state.

According to information obtained from the General Directorate of the Mint and Stamp Printing House, a special commemorative coin was designed for the Turkic States Organization (TSO) as part of the 2024 commemorative coin minting program.

The design of the Turkic States Organization Commemorative Coin features rich details symbolizing the deep ties and cooperation among Turkic states.

With the minting of the commemorative coin, the international activity and cultural values of the TSO are emphasized, while different visuals and drawings were applied in its design. In the design process, in addition to highlighting the TSO's logo, it was aimed that other elements in the visual reflect the theme of the organization.

THERE IS AN EIGHT-POINTED SELJUK STAR AROUND THE LOGO

On the front side of the commemorative coin, the organization's logo is present, surrounded by an 8-pointed Seljuk Star. Each point of this star symbolizes 8 different meanings consisting of compassion, kindness, patience, truthfulness, confidentiality, loyalty, generosity, and gratitude, reflecting the values and philosophy of the organization, and these meanings also represent the 8 states within the organization.

On the reverse side of the commemorative coin, the flags of the member countries of the organization, namely Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan, are gathered around a circle, with the phrase "Unity in Language, Thought, and Action." This slogan symbolizes the material and spiritual unity among these countries.

The honeycomb texture in the center of the coin represents productivity, diligence, and togetherness, while the handshake of two hands on this texture reflects the reliability in every field and symbolizes the organization, which has become a symbol of peace and unity for the region and other geographies.

THE COMMEMORATIVE COIN WAS OFFERED FOR SALE AT 900 LIRA

The Turkic States Organization Commemorative Coin has a diameter of 38.61 millimeters and weighs 23.33 grams, and it was minted on bronze metal with oxidation. A maximum of 5,000 pieces of the commemorative coin were produced, and its circulation period was determined to be 2 years starting from November 7. The commemorative coin is offered for sale in a box for 900 lira at the Mint's Collection Store in Beşiktaş and at emagaza.darphane.gov.tr.
