66-year-old journalist Reha Muhtar, one of the well-known faces of Turkish television history, was taken to the hospital after falling ill at his home in Bodrum. Following initial examinations at the hospital, it was reported that the famous journalist was diagnosed with heart failure and his treatment continues in the intensive care unit of the hospital.

The first statement regarding Reha Muhtar's health condition came from his ex-wife, Deniz Uğur. Uğur, who stated that she set off for Bodrum together with her children Mina and Poyraz as soon as she heard the news, asked for prayers from his loved ones.

In her post on her social media account, Deniz Uğur said, "While we were at our summer house in Çanakkale, we received the news that Reha Muhtar was hospitalized in Bodrum.
