The woman who recorded the congestion stated, "There are so many people, patients are in a very difficult situation." Staff shortages and increasing tension have also become a topic of discussion on social media.
The congestion experienced in the emergency room of Istanbul Beylikdüzü State Hospital caused reactions from patients and their relatives. In the footage, it was seen that hundreds of patients were waiting in line and a large crowd formed in the emergency service areas.
"A CATASTROPHIC NUMBER OF PEOPLE"
A woman who recorded the congestion described the situation with the following words: "Beylikdüzü State Hospital Yellow Area... A catastrophic number of people. Very seriously ill patients are waiting in line. The emergency section is worse than this. In the Green Area, it's impossible to even stand. Unfortunately, the patients are in very bad condition. Beylikdüzü State Hospital... This is the Yellow Area. Two doctors are working. Unfortunately, the doctors are working without taking a breath, second by second. The patients are really in a difficult situation. Everyone is devastated. The Green Area is in a dire situation as well. There is a very serious congestion. The number of staff is very low. The tension is at its peak."
CLAIM OF INSUFFICIENT NUMBER OF DOCTORS
