As Eid al-Adha approaches, retirees are anticipating their bonuses. According to the information received, retirement bonuses will be deposited into bank accounts with an increase before the holiday. However, citizens who wish to benefit from the holiday bonus and are not yet retired must apply for retirement by May 31.

An increase has been made in the holiday bonuses for the year 2025. According to the decision published in the Official Gazette in March, it has been decided that a payment of 4,000 lira will be made for each holiday during Ramadan and Kurban Bayramı throughout the year. This step, which means a 1,000 lira increase compared to the 3,000 lira bonuses paid last year, was first implemented during Ramadan Bayramı. An important development for retirees occurred before Kurban Bayramı.
CRITICAL DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: MAY 31
According to the decision published in the Official Gazette in March, a holiday bonus of 4,000 TL will be deposited into the accounts of all retirees under the 4A (SSK), 4B (Bağ-Kur), and 4C (Emekli Sandığı) categories. Citizens who wish to benefit from the holiday bonus and are not yet retired must apply for retirement by May 31. Those who apply by this date will have their pension allocation processes completed as of June 1 and will be able to receive their bonuses. However, those who apply after this date will be able to obtain their bonus rights in 2026.
PAYMENT DATE ANNOUNCED
Due to Kurban Bayramı starting on June 6, it is planned that the bonus payments will be made between June 2-5. Payments will be carried out gradually according to the last digit of the retirees' allocation numbers. The exact payment schedule will be announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security in the coming days.
THOSE RECEIVING DEATH PENSIONS WILL ALSO BENEFIT
With the new regulation, not only retirees but also beneficiaries receiving death pensions will benefit from the increased bonuses. The bonus amounts have been determined as follows based on the death pension rate:
- 3,000 TL for those receiving a 75% death pension
- 2,000 TL for those receiving a 50% death pension
- 1,000 TL for those receiving a 25% death pension
