The operations carried out with tanks, commandos, and landing ships during the daytime phase of the EFES2026 Exercise held in Izmir were breathtaking. In footage recorded at this moment, armored units advancing under heavy smoke support drew attention. The exercise began with the TB3 drone taking off from the TCG Anadolu ship. More than 10,000 personnel are serving in the event, which includes observers and units from 50 countries.

The daytime phase of the Distinguished Observer Day of the EFES2026 Combined, Joint, Live-Fire Field Exercise, hosted by Türkiye at the Doğanbey Shooting Training Area in Seferihisar, Izmir, has begun. In the images recorded at these moments, tanks advancing under heavy smoke support and commandos conducting operations on target areas drew attention.

The exercise began with the TB3 Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, developed with national resources, taking off from the TCG Anadolu ship.

TANKS LANDED ON SHORE FROM LANDING SHIPS

In the field images, amphibious landing ships were seen approaching the shore and deploying tanks onto the area. Armored units advancing under heavy fog and smoke carried out operations directed at targets determined within the scenario. In the exercise, commandos and special units were seen moving in coordination alongside tank units.

PARTICIPATION FROM 50 COUNTRIES

The exercise, which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will also observe, saw broad participation from friendly and allied nations. In the organization, which includes observers, units, and elements from 50 countries alongside national components, over 10,000 personnel are on duty.

NIGHT PHASE ALSO DREW ATTENTION

In the night phase of EFES2026, targets were hit with intense fire, and the resulting images made a significant impact. In the daytime phase of the exercise, land, sea, and air elements continue to demonstrate their joint operational capabilities.
