The former vice president of Antalyaspor, Emrah Çelik, who was detained in a betting investigation, has been revealed to have placed millions of lira in bets on his own team's matches. Çelik's scandal, who bet 4-0 on the Kayserispor–Antalyaspor match, came to light through an enforcement file. WhatsApp conversations, bank records, and coded betting messages were included in the file.
One of the names detained in the new wave of the betting investigation is Emrah Çelik, the former 2nd President of Antalyaspor. Documents reveal that Çelik placed millions of lira in bets on his own club's matches and made a significant profit from a 4-0 score coupon.
SCANDAL DOCUMENTS EMERGED AFTER THE DETENTION DECISION
As the betting and match manipulation operation conducted across Turkey expands, Emrah Çelik, the former 2nd President of Antalyaspor, was also among those detained. The documents included in the investigation file revealed that Çelik placed high-value bets even on his own team's matches.
KAYSERISPOR – ANTALYASPOR MATCH BET ON 4-0
It was determined that Emrah Çelik bet on his team winning 4-0 in the match between Kayserispor and Antalyaspor played on March 3, 2023. Following this risky choice, it was recorded that Çelik earned 475,000 TL from the coupon.
SCANDAL REVEALED THROUGH ENFORCEMENT PROCEEDINGS
The incident interestingly emerged in September 2024. Çelik's company initiated enforcement proceedings against S.B., who operates a betting shop in Antalya, for 2 million TL. However, the shop owner, who rejected the debt, presented documents to the court that revealed Çelik's betting activities. These documents were also included in the investigation file.
WHATSAPP MESSAGES AND BANK RECORDS IN THE FILE
Among the documents included in the court file:
- WhatsApp messages where Çelik wrote the matches he would bet on
- Bank receipts exceeding 2 million 424 thousand TL
- Money transfers sent through the company
- Large amounts sent with the note "Loaning"

This flow of money is considered to be a systematic betting organization rather than a transaction or a loan.
2.8 MILLION TL BET IN A MONTH, 600 THOUSAND TL ON A SINGLE MATCH
The documents show that Emrah Çelik placed approximately 2 million 800 thousand TL in bets within just one month. It was determined that he invested 600 thousand TL for a single match.

It is noteworthy that in the messages in the investigation file, exact score bets were communicated in code.
