In a statement from the Afghanistan National Disaster Management, it was warned that the rains, which have been affecting different parts of the country for 12 days, will continue in the coming days.

Officials stated that 110 people lost their lives and 160 were injured in the floods and landslides caused by heavy rains, adding that 958 households were completely destroyed and 4,155 were partially damaged.

6,122 FAMILIES AFFECTED

Officials noted that businesses, agricultural lands, irrigation channels, and freshwater wells were also damaged, stating that this situation has affected 6,122 families.

With the warming of the weather in Afghanistan, the melting of snow, heavy rains, and inadequate infrastructure are causing floods that result in loss of life and property. Every year, hundreds of people lose their lives for this reason in the country.
