India's Embassy in Riyadh announced that an Indian citizen injured in the attack died today. In a statement from the embassy, it was stated that contact had been made with the family of the deceased and condolences were conveyed to the relatives. The statement also said that necessary procedures would be carried out to send the body to India.
DEATH TOLL RISES TO 13
With this development, the death toll in the Houthis' attack on the civilian facility has risen to 13. In its first statement after the attack, the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia announced that 12 people had died and 309 were injured. Following the attack, operations at the airport were temporarily suspended.
