The number of fatalities in the vehicle attack that took place in New Orleans, USA, has risen to 15. New Orleans Coroner Dr. Dwight McKenna provided an update regarding the previously reported figure of 10 deaths in the attack.

STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED IN LOUISIANA

Landry announced that a state of emergency has been declared to ensure that federal, state, and local partners can restore safety to the city following the attack that occurred in New Orleans today. THE ATTACKER IS A U.S. CITIZEN

New details regarding the attack have begun to emerge. It has been learned that the attacker is a 42-year-old U.S. citizen named Shamseddin Jabbar. The attacker, who was reportedly wearing military clothing at the time of the incident, is alleged to have served in the U.S. military. Additionally, it has been reported that the attacker entered the country two days ago from the Mexican border with a rented truck.

In the early hours of last night around 03:15 on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, a vehicle rapidly drove into a crowd, resulting in 15 fatalities and 35 injuries. On the first day of the new year, a Tesla vehicle also exploded in front of Trump's hotel in Las Vegas, resulting in one death and seven injuries.

Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla, suggested on social media that there might be a connection between the vehicle used in the New Orleans attack and the Tesla that caught fire in front of Trump's hotel, as both were rented from the same location.
