The number of people who lost their lives in the fire at a nightclub in the town of Kocani, North Macedonia, has risen to 59. Dozens of people were injured in the fire that broke out after the use of pyrotechnic materials, while Interior Minister Toškovski conducted inspections in the area.

The number of people who lost their lives in a nightclub fire in the town of Kočani in eastern North Macedonia has risen to 59.
FIRE BROKE OUT AFTER USE OF PYROTECHNIC MATERIAL
According to local media reports, a fire broke out at a nightclub in Kočani, located about 100 kilometers from the capital Skopje, at 03:00 local time.
In the fire that occurred after the use of pyrotechnic materials, preliminary reports indicate that 59 people lost their lives, and more than 100 were injured. The injured were taken to hospitals in various cities, primarily in Skopje.
INTERIOR MINISTER IN THE REGION
The Interior Minister of North Macedonia, Panče Toškovski, has moved to Kočani to conduct investigations.
