The debts left by the AK Party in Balıkesir sparked controversy: "You have ruined the municipality, my son."

The December Ordinary Meeting of the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Council's 2nd Session was held. The session was chaired by the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Ahmet Akın.

"YOU ARE LIARS"

Akın, who denied the claim that 625 million TL was spent on renewing the AK Party's municipal logo, stated, "You are liars. Can 625 million be spent on a logo? I am trying not to engage in politics here, but you deserve it," he said.

"SON, YOU HAVE RUINED THE MUNICIPALITY"

Continuing his speech, Ahmet Akın said, "Are we eager to sell? Son, you have ruined the municipality. There is no limit to the money you have spent. It's a shame. I go to my ministers. I explain, we are preparing for our payment plans. We have billions of lira in debt, but we do not want to engage in debt rhetoric. Did we create this debt, brother?" he asked.

"HOW WILL YOU PAY? THE PEOPLE SENT YOU"

In response to the "We will pay" remark from the AKP benches, Akın humorously replied, "How will you pay, son? The people sent you," he said.
