Deputy Chairman of the MHP, Feti Yıldız, reminded in a statement made on his official social media account that an investigation was initiated based on the complaint petition they submitted to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on February 5, 2020, regarding former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

BAHÇELİ'S INSTRUCTION TO "WITHDRAW THE COMPLAINT"

Yıldız stated that a public lawsuit was requested on the grounds that his statements, which constitute the crime of "praising crime and the criminal," were of a nature to disrupt public order, creating a clear, imminent, and concrete danger for the stability and order of society, and that the elements of the crime were formed in a chain. Yıldız said, "Objections to duty and authority have taken a long time, and as a result, the case file has been registered with the Ankara 35th Heavy Criminal Court. Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu did not attend the first hearing held on December 3, 2024, citing an excuse."

Recalling the words of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli during the group meeting, Yıldız stated, "Mr. Bahçeli summarized the time we are going through with his words: 'We aim to build the roof of a century without terrorism by uniting hearts. With cautious and prudent optimism, we will hopefully raise the bar in the just struggle that will not harm the blessed existence of our state. Sacrifice is what we will fulfill what is asked. We know that there can be no development without change, but those who do not change their minds cannot change anything. We are targeting a developed and strengthened Turkey.' As of today, he has given the instruction for the necessary action to be taken to 'withdraw our complaint' in the case where Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu is being tried at the Ankara 35th Heavy Criminal Court."
