Ismail Tek, who stabbed and killed an unknown person seven times while walking on the street in Ankara, stated in his testimony in the indictment, "I had a constant desire to kill someone inside me. Because of this desire, I killed the unknown victim."

İsmail Tek (29), while walking on the street in Ankara, stabbed and killed Yetkin Güner (45) seven times. A lawsuit has been filed against him for 'intentional murder with monstrous feelings or by inflicting torture,' seeking aggravated life imprisonment. In his statement in the indictment, İsmail Tek said, "I had a constant desire to kill someone inside me. I killed the unknown victim because of this desire."

The incident occurred on May 24 last year, around 5:00 AM in front of the Kurtuluş Museum in Ulus, where İsmail Tek approached and attacked Yetkin Güner, who was walking on the street. İsmail Tek stabbed Güner seven times with the knife he had. Güner died at the scene. After fleeing the scene, İsmail Tek was identified and captured as a result of the police examining security camera footage. Tek, who was taken into custody, was arrested by the duty magistrate.

"HE COMMITTED THE ACT WITH MONSTROUS FEELINGS"

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's investigation regarding the incident has been completed. An indictment was prepared against İsmail Tek for 'intentional murder with monstrous feelings or by inflicting torture,' and a lawsuit was filed. In the indictment accepted by the Ankara 1st Heavy Penal Court, it was stated that Yetkin Güner was stabbed in front of the Kurtuluş Museum in Ulus Square and was found dead at the scene. It was noted that the camera footage showed the suspect İsmail Tek approaching the victim Güner while he was walking on the street, and after knocking him to the ground, he stabbed him. The indictment expressed that the act against Güner, who was in a defenseless state, was committed with monstrous feelings.

"I DO NOT KNOW THE VICTIM"

The indictment also included the statement of the defendant İsmail Tek. Stating that he had previously been imprisoned for different crimes, Tek said, "I was staying in a hotel before the incident. I do not know the victim. I had a constant desire to kill someone inside me. I killed because of this desire."

Tek also claimed that the victim insulted him before the incident. It was stated that İsmail Tek killed Yetkin Güner, who was walking on the street, with the knife he had in a monstrous manner, and it was requested that he be punished for the charge of 'intentional murder with monstrous feelings or by inflicting torture.'
