A driver engaged in illegal taxi services in Samsun was fined 100,000 TL, had their license confiscated for 30 days, and their vehicle was banned from traffic for 60 days. The driver, who blamed the passengers who called him, stated, "I will also report them for leading me to commit a crime."

A driver identified as operating a pirate taxi in the Atakum district of Samsun was fined 100,000 lira. The female driver claimed she was innocent and stated that the passengers had called for the taxi, saying she would file a complaint against them.

ACTION TAKEN UPON REPORT 

Teams from the Samsun Provincial Police Department initiated an operation following reports of pirate taxi services in the district. The vehicle called through the pirate taxi application was tracked by police teams. The teams took security measures on Atatürk Boulevard in the Atakent neighborhood and stopped the car.

During the checks, the passengers in the vehicle admitted to receiving pirate transportation services. The driver was fined 100,000 TL in accordance with the Highway Traffic Law, and her driver's license was confiscated for 30 days. The car used for pirate transportation was banned from traffic for 60 days and towed to a parking lot. The female driver claimed she was innocent and stated that the passengers had called for the taxi, saying she would file a complaint against them.
