During the remote opening ceremony for the State Hospital in China, President Erdoğan turned to the officials and asked, "Ribbons, ribbons... Where are the ribbons?" Following this brief crisis, the opening ceremony was held.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who came to Aydın for the collective opening of investments completed throughout the province, met with the people of Aydın at the ceremony area.
RIBBON CRISIS AT THE OPENING
During the remote opening ceremony for Çine State Hospital, the lack of ribbons angered President Erdoğan. Asking those around him, "Where are the ribbons, ribbons... Where are the ribbons?" Erdoğan received the response, "They will be cut over there, sir." Upon this, he said, "Son, I'm talking about the ribbon here."
"BRING THEM OF COURSE"
After the officials asked, "Shall we bring them?" Erdoğan instructed, "Bring them of course," and requested that the scissors be kept as a memento in light of the significance of the day after the opening.
HARSH WORDS TO THE OPPOSITION
In his speech, Erdoğan harshly criticized CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who visited Hatay recently, saying, "It seems that he has fallen into Hatay somehow. When he sees what has been done, what he says comes to mind, he must be overwhelmed by these. But instead of apologizing, he is beating around the bush. He comes out 3 years later and says, 'We will not leave the earthquake zone alone.' What were you doing, Mr. Özgür, while 455 thousand houses were being built? You have not been anywhere in the process for 3 years. Did you just wake up? They have no idea what is happening in the country. They used to say free tractors for every farmer, free houses for every earthquake victim. What happened?"
"THEY ARE TRYING TO INCITE RETIREES AGAINST US"
Continuing his remarks, Erdoğan criticized the opposition through retirees, saying, "Now they are doing the same thing through our retirees, trying to incite them against us. Workers are protesting in front of the municipalities, while they are vacationing on tropical islands. If you care about the rights of workers, why don't you pay the salaries of your employees? I have said it many times before; look, we speak with our works, we speak with what we have done. We speak with the services and projects we have brought to our country. If you can, speak with your works and services as well."
