The DEM Party delegation met with KDP President Mesud Barzani. In a statement made by the DEM Party, it was noted that during the 1 hour and 45-minute meeting, information was provided regarding the meeting with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, and Barzani's opinion was sought.
Members of the DEM Party İmralı Delegation, including Pervin Buldan, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Co-Chair of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Keskin Bayındır, Foreign Relations Commission member Berdan Öztürk, and MPs Gülcan Kaçmaz Sayyiğit and Mehmet Kamaç, along with lawyers of the terrorist organization PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, continue their contacts in the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (IKBY).
THE MEETING LASTED ABOUT 2 HOURS
Today, the delegation met with KDP President Mesud Barzani. The meeting, which took place at Barzani's office in the Pirman district, lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes. During the meeting, the delegation provided information about the discussions with Öcalan and received Barzani's views, suggestions, and thoughts regarding the process. As part of their contacts, the delegation will meet with IKBY President Neçirvan Barzani tomorrow.
IMRALI MEETING DISCUSSED
In a statement made by the DEM Party, it was expressed that information was provided about the meeting with the terrorist organization PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and that Barzani's opinion was obtained.
BARZANI SUPPORTS THE PEACE PROCESS
On the other hand, a statement from Barzani's media office indicated that the DEM Party delegation conveyed their views on the political situation in Turkey and the peace process during the visit. It was also stated that the delegation provided information regarding the message of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan. In the briefing about the meeting, it was said that Barzani emphasized that a peaceful solution is the most appropriate way to resolve issues. It was noted that Barzani is ready to support the peace process in Turkey.
