WHO IS AHMET TÜRK?

Ahmet Türk was born on July 2, 1942, in Mardin. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Mardin and was elected as a Mardin MP from the Democratic Party in 1973. Later, Türk joined the CHP and continued his political career there until 1980. He joined the SHP in 1987 but was expelled from the SHP in 1989 for attending a conference held in Paris. He entered the parliament as an Independent Mardin MP in the 2007 General Elections, but his membership ended when the DTP was closed in 2009.
