The Batman Governorate reported that 6 police officers were injured as a result of stone-throwing and physical attacks by some individuals from the group waiting in front of the municipal building. In a statement from the governorate, it was noted, "Following the decision, 67 people were detained in accordance with the relevant articles of the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911 and the Turkish Penal Code No. 5237, upon the instruction of the Public Prosecutor's Office regarding protests and demonstration marches." The statement also mentioned that there were stone-throwing and physical attacks against the law enforcement personnel and team vehicles, stating, "6 of our police officers were injured, and 1 municipal bus, 1 team vehicle, and 2 water cannons were damaged. In a statement from the Batman Municipality, it was noted that an investigation was initiated against municipal staff Y.Ç, R.B, İ.K, M.E, and R.S, who parked 5 public transport vehicles belonging to the municipality in front of the municipal building after taking their keys yesterday, causing material damage to the vehicles and endangering traffic safety.
