A female tourist who wanted to take a selfie with a leopard she saw while skiing in China was attacked by the leopard after getting too close. The woman, injured on her face, was saved from serious injury thanks to her helmet.
A female tourist skiing in Talat village, part of China's Keketuohai UNESCO Global Geopark, had a bloody encounter while trying to take a photo with a nearby leopard.
THANKS TO THE HELMET, SHE DID NOT SUSTAIN SERIOUS INJURIES
The woman, who wanted to take a selfie with the leopard, was attacked by the leopard after approaching it about 3 meters. In a video taken minutes later, it is seen that the woman's face was covered in blood, although she was smiling at the time of the photo. It was reported that the tourist, rescued by those nearby, escaped serious injury thanks to her helmet. The woman's condition, who was taken to the hospital, was announced to be stable.
A BETTER ANGLE BROUGHT DISASTER
Authorities stated that warnings had been made a day earlier about a leopard sighting in the area, but the skiing female tourist got too close to the leopard for a better angle.
