The heavy downpour that affected Istanbul caused Yeşilçay Stream to overflow in the Ağva area of Şile. Roads, agricultural lands, houses, and some workplaces were flooded, while some vehicles were stranded on the road. Municipality, İSKİ, AFAD, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the region.
Due to the severe downpour affecting Istanbul, the Yeşilçay Stream overflowed in the Ağva region of Şile. As a result of the flood, roads, agricultural land, houses, and some workplaces were submerged.
HOUSES AND WORKPLACES UNDER WATER
After the rains, the water level rose and the Yeşilçay Stream overflowed from its bed. While disruptions in transportation occurred due to water accumulation on the roads, some vehicles remained stranded on the road.
TEAMS DISPATCHED TO THE REGION
Upon notification, numerous municipality, İSKİ, AFAD, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the region. The teams began work with construction machinery and pumps to drain the water accumulations and clear the blocked points in the stream bed.
