The female referee Elif Karaarslan, who received a lifetime ban from the Turkish Football Federation, reacted to her colleagues on her social media account.

"WHY AREN'T OTHER REFEREES SPEAKING UP?"

Karaarslan stated in her social media post, "When a referee is wronged, why is it that other referees never speak up? Is it because you are afraid of getting into trouble? What are you so afraid of? Those who remain silent against injustice today will be the ones who will face similar injustices tomorrow. Fear has no benefit against death. Be a little brave. As long as you continue to be like this, those who want to will play with refereeing and referees anyway," she expressed.

The 24-year-old female referee Elif Karaarslan and the 61-year-old observer Orhan Erdemir were given a lifetime ban by the TFF following the release of a relationship video allegedly belonging to them.
