A lawsuit was filed by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in the civil court of first instance seeking the dissolution of the Ahbap Association. Following the initiated legal process, the court decided to appoint a management trustee for the association and halted all its activities. With this court decision, the dissolution process of the association has begun.
In the investigation against the Ahbap Association founded by Haluk Levent, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit in the civil court of first instance for the dissolution of the association. Following the lawsuit, the court appointed a management trustee for the association. Previously, a trustee had been appointed only to manage the association's assets, but this time a trustee was appointed to directly manage the association itself.
ALL ACTIVITIES SUSPENDED
All activities of the Ahbap Association have been suspended, and lawyers Rıdvan Can, Mustafa Göktuğ Kaya, and Professor Doctor Ahmet Kasım Han were appointed as management trustees.
CHIEF PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE REQUESTED THE DISSOLUTION OF THE ASSOCIATION
In its petition, the Chief Prosecutor's Office requested the suspension of the association's activities and a decision for its dissolution, citing reasons such as earthquake donations being used outside their intended purpose, association resources being utilized for personal matters, unauthorized money transfers, real estate transfers, and irregularities in financial reports.
