"CAUGHT WITH A PROHIBITED SUBSTANCE IN HIS VEHICLE"
According to the information shared by Ünal, last week, one of the Super League referees was stopped at a police checkpoint in Kuşadası. During the search of the referee's vehicle, it was alleged that he was traveling with a woman and that a prohibited substance was found in the car. The woman claimed that the substance belonged to her.
Following the incident, it was suggested that the referee contacted the Turkish Football Federation's headquarters in Riva and that the matter was covered up. The Aydın Police Department's statement regarding the issue is eagerly awaited. Ünal mentioned that the referee in question officiated a match in the Super League according to the Arbitration Board.
PREVIOUSLY CAUGHT DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Tahir Kum, who also served as a commentator on the same program, stated that the referee, who is alleged to have been caught with a prohibited substance, had previously received a 5-year prison sentence for driving under the influence, and the announcement of the sentence had been postponed. He also noted that the same referee has another ongoing case.
