Famous actress Ecem Erkek applied to the court with a striking claim after parting ways with her management company. Erkek alleged that commissions continued to be taken on her behalf even though the collaboration had ended.
Actor Ecem Erkek, who reached a wide fan base with the character Naime she portrayed in the Güldür Güldür Show program, has become involved in a lawsuit with her former management company.
According to the news from Armağan Yılmaz of Sabah, Erkek made a verbal agreement with a management company for the years 2024-2025. However, the actress ended the collaboration on the grounds that the company did not fulfill its management duties.
According to the claim, there was no written management contract between the parties. Despite this, it was alleged that the company was shown as Erkek's manager in some contracts.
The actress learned that, despite stating that the management relationship had ended, the company continued to take commissions through her. Upon this, Ecem Erkek brought the matter to the judiciary.
"UNJUST ENRICHMENT IS BEING OBTAINED"
In the petition submitted by Erkek to the court, it was stated that the verbal agreement was terminated for just causes due to the company's failure to fulfill its obligations.
The actress argued that she had no remaining obligations after the termination of the agreement. She also stated that she had warned the company via a notification letter not to engage in any benefit or activity through her.
However, according to Erkek's claim, despite the notification letter, the company continued to obtain commissions and unjust enrichment through her.
THE COURT ACCEPTED THE CASE FILE
Ecem Erkek requested the removal of the clause in the contract that she claimed interfered with her rights.
Upon the actress's application, the Istanbul Intellectual and Industrial Law Court accepted the case file. Thus, the legal process between Ecem Erkek and her former management company officially began.
