WHO IS NECİP NAŞİT ÖZCAN?
Naşit Özcan was born on January 1, 1957, in Istanbul, as the grandson of the master of improvisation Naşit Bey and the son of the theater actor Selim Naşit Özcan and Rum Sotiriya Hanım. He first took the stage in 1971 with the children's play 'I Did Not Steal', directed by Ferih Egemen, at the Gönül Ülkü - Gazanfer Özcan Theater. He began his professional theater career in 1977 at the Akbank Children's Theater.
Having received theater training at the courses opened by Ali Poyrazoğlu Theater during the 1979 - 1980 period, Necip Naşit Özcan worked at various theaters such as Akbank Children's Theater, Nejat Uygur Theater, Şan Music Hall, and Abdullah Şahin Theater before joining the Istanbul City Theaters.
Necip Naşit Özcan, who also directed many plays, appeared in 18 TV series and 4 feature films.
