Businessman Rıza Kalkavan, who is the brother of the late actress Billur Kalkavan, became a victim of counterfeit alcohol. Allegedly, Kalkavan suddenly fell ill after consuming alcoholic beverages purchased from an establishment in Ortaköy during dinner. Initially experiencing vision loss, Kalkavan was taken to the hospital by his relatives.

DIED IN INTENSIVE CARE

Kalkavan, who was admitted to intensive care, passed away this evening despite all interventions. The cause of death of the 59-year-old businessman has not yet been confirmed. Kalkavan's body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institution for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Rıza Kalkavan was the son of Nazım Kalkavan and Nuyan Kalkavan, and the brother of Billur Kalkavan. Billur Kalkavan passed away at the age of 59 on October 15, 2022, due to lung cancer while receiving treatment in a hospital in Istanbul.
