The Asian automotive giant Toyota has recalled over 140,000 Toyota and Lexus vehicles. There is a concern that some vehicles may have damaged rear brake hoses, while others may have potential damage to their seat belts.
According to a statement from Toyota, more than 140,000 Toyota and Lexus vehicles are being recalled by Toyota. The company stated that the recalls include certain models of the Tacoma 4-wheel drive vehicles, as well as the Toyota Camry and Lexus RX vehicles.
Stating that the recalls involve different faults, Toyota mentioned that in the recalled Tacoma vehicles, the rear brake hoses could be damaged if "sufficient mud and dirt accumulate inside the rear wheels."
THE COMPANY WILL NOTIFY CUSTOMERS
The second-row center seat belts in the recalled Camry and Lexus RX vehicles may have been damaged during production. The company says it will inform customers affected by both recalls by early April 2025.
Changes for both recalls will be made free of charge. The recall covers some of the following Toyota and Lexus vehicles:
